In this day and age,
pursuing the personality seems to be pretty important for the different
trendsetters. In their opinion, only doing like that can they stand out among
the crowd. As a matter of fact, personality is not only the paten for the
fashion icons, but also for some politicians. Don't be stunned, I am not going
to exaggerate it, but it’s just the truth. For example, both President Obama and
Prince Charles choose custom
sneakers to be unique.
According to the local
news, “recently President Obama received a pair of custom New Balance running
shoes during a fundraising trip to Maine on Friday. As Reuters reports, Maine
congressman Mike Michaud gave the president the shoes with a legislative intent
in mind--Michaud wants Obama to require the military to outfit service members
with domestically produced athletic shoes”.
Actually, President Obama
is not the first politician who chooses the custom shoes. “Prince Charles has
at least 14 pair of custom
canvas sneakers that I know of, because we sold them to him,"
says John Hlustik, one shoemaking firm’s managing director. "He's rather
fond of what we call our house shoe--an unlined, lightweight slip-on--very
comfortable for puttering 'round the royal estates, you see. The style was in
fact commissioned by the prince's grandfather, George VI. They're quite
popular.”
You know why the handmade shoes usher in the new generation of fashion,
even politicians opt for them. Let’s see, the initial visit to the shop is a
unique experience. You'll be there about an hour, and your feet will be more
carefully examined than by a podiatrist. Before you actually get to the point
of discussing the kind of shoes you want, measurements must be taken. As you
stand on a piece of white paper, each foot will be traced. Then you'll sit, and
differences in the feet "at rest" will be noted. Each foot will be
measured with the tape: complete length, breadth at ball and heel, height and
position of arch, and a half dozen other exacting notions. Finally, the personal
idiosyncrasies are studied. So the all things you did is just to look for the
true individualities.
