As a huge fan of the canvas shoes, some of us are all the time in deeply love with the white Converse/Vans shoes, even deeper than the custom painted shoes. However, what troubles them most is the yellowing of their beloved babies and speed of becoming dirty with the time goes by. This is may not only for them, but also for all of us who have the white sneakers in the shoe box. Don’t worry, there’s always a method resolving it. Today, I’m gonna share the method with you.

First of all, fill a sink half-full with warm water. Add a few drops of dish detergent into the water and mix until the water is foamy. Use a gentle bleach-free detergent. Remove immediately and transfer to dryer to dry on low heat.

Then dip a kitchen sponge into the soapy water and wring it out. Wipe off stains and dirt from the Vans by brushing them with the soapy sponge. Repeat this process until all of the dirt and stains are removed. If the rubber still has yellow spots, rub a dime-sized amount of whitewall-tire cleaner and a cloth.

For the Vans, rinse the outside of the Vans under tap water to get rid of the soap residue. Place the Vans on an old towel, and dab them with the towel to help dry them out. Leave the Vans on the towel in a dry room for a few days until they are completely dry.

At last, Spray shoes with a water and stain repellant. Water and stain repellant makes future cleaning easier and should prevent yellow spots.

Nowadays, everyone loves making their common canvas shoes customized, but what disturb them most is the fear for the fading and the water. In terms of the fading, the acrylic paint is proven to be in use for approximately fifty years. Meanwhile, acrylic paint is very elastic, which prevents cracking from occurring. Besides, it can also be applied onto different kinds bodies, such as, pastel (oil & chalk), charcoal, pen, etc. on top of the dried acrylic painted surface. Mixing other bodies into the acrylic is possible - sand, rice, even pasta may be incorporated in the artwork.

This is a inspiring poem that I personally like best. The reason why I share it here is that it is exactly our Studio Shoe My Color’s creed we insist on. In Roman mythology Cupid is the son of Venus (goddess of love) and Mars (god of war). Venus was jealous of the beauty of Psyche, and ordered Cupid to punish the mortal. But instead, Cupid fell deeply in love with her. He took her as his wife, but as a mortal she was forbidden to look at him. As result, Cupid visited Psyche every night while she slept. Speaking to her so that she could not see him, he told her to never try to see him. Psyche, though, incited by her two older sisters who told her Cupid was sparcker [a monster], tried to look at him and angered Cupid. Cupid punished her by leaving her. Their lovely castle and gardens vanished too. Psyche found herself alone in an open field with no signs of other beings or Cupid. As she wandered trying to find her love, she came upon the temple of Venus. Wishing to destroy her, the goddess of love gave Psyche a series of tasks, each harder and more dangerous than the last.

Finally, Venus had one task left - Psyche had to give Pluto a box containing something Psyche was not to look at. Psyche's curiosity got the best of her and she looked in the box. Hidden within it was eternal sleep placed there by Venus. Cupid was no longer angered by Psyche and brought her from her sleep. The gods, moved by Psyche's love for Cupid made her a goddess. Together they had a daughter, Voluptas, or Hedone, (meaning pleasure) and Psyche became a goddess. Her name "Psyche" means "soul."

Everyone like me in his childhood had a wonderful fantasy to the mysterious sea world, because we were told the bedtime stories that there were many elves living under the sea, including our dream prince, princess mermaid and the castle. Also, daddy and mummy often sang me a song. It’s called Fish Are like the Stars.

So when I first saw this picture above, my curiosity and expectation about the future in the childhood came into my mind, which was more than precious. Then I’ve made a wish that I will paint it on the custom canvas shoes. But this meant she had to die. Finally, for everything Flower still chose to sacrifice. The sorrowful Butterfly eventually beat the monster, with his beloved Flower’s power. Therefore, the home was protected but it lost the beautiful Flower forever. In his time of grief, Butterfly recalled he and the Flower had already become one because he had inhaled her nectar. In this way, butterfly was fond of flying over the flower, feeling his beloved and saying some words to be continued…
