Top Seven Ways to Be Different on Lacing Shoes

In the past, the shoelaces were only regarded as the necessary accessories of the shoes.  But now the trendsetters have created various types of lacing shoes, which makes it an unique way to show their individualities, meanwhile, it also makes shoe-lacing become full of joy. In this case, I’d like to tell you best seven ways to lace your custom canvas sneakers uniquely.

Lacing Skill

1. The lace is run straight across and the ends are fed in through the middle set of eyelets.

2. Both ends are run straight up the inside and emerge through the next set of eyelets up the shoe.

3. The ends are crossed diagonally downwards, running under the middle section, and are fed in through the next vacant set of eyelets down the shoe.

4. Both ends are run straight down on the inside and emerge through the next set of eyelets down the shoe.

5. The ends are crossed diagonally upwards, running under the middle section, and are fed in through the next vacant set of eyelets up the shoe.

6. Repeat steps (2) to (5), each time running straight up or down on the inside and crossing diagonally through the middle, until both ends reach the top eyelets.

1. The lace is run straight across the bottom and the ends emerge through both bottom eyelets.

2. The ends are crossed over each other, then fed in through the second higher set of eyelets up the shoe (skip past one set of eyelets).

3. The left end is run straight down on the inside and emerges through the next eyelet down the shoe, then continues straight across on the outside and is fed in through the eyelet on the opposite side.

4. Both ends are run straight up the inside, each skipping past one eyelet before emerging through the second higher eyelet up the shoe.

5. The higher end is run straight across on the outside and is fed in through the eyelet on the opposite side, then continues straight down on the inside and emerges through the next eyelet down the shoe.

6. The ends are crossed over each other, then fed in through the sixth set of eyelets (skip past one set of eyelets).

1. The lace is run straight across the bottom and the ends emerge through both bottom eyelets.

2. The ends are crossed over each other, then fed under the sides to emerge through the next set of eyelets up the shoe.

3. Repeat step two until both ends reach the top eyelets.

1. Start with two different colored flat shoelaces, each the correct length for that shoe.

2. Hold both flat shoelaces together to end up with a double-thickness, double-sided shoelace.

3. Using that double-sided shoelace, lace the shoe normally. At each set of eyelets, alternate the color that sits uppermost.

4. At the top of the shoe, once again hold the two ends at each side together as though they are one double-thickness shoelace and tie a regular Shoelace Knot.

1. The lace is run straight across the bottom and the ends are fed in through both bottom eyelets. Adjust the ends so that the left end is quite a bit shorter than the right end.

2. The ends are crossed over each other, then fed in through the fourth set of eyelets up the shoe (skip past two sets of eyelets).

3. Both ends are run straight down on the inside and emerge through the next set of eyelets down the shoe.

4. The right end is run diagonally up to the left, then fed under the side to emerge through the top left eyelet.

5. The left end is run in a complete loop: Straight across on the outside and in through the adjacent eyelet on the right side of the shoe, then straight up on the inside to emerge through the next eyelet up the right side, then back across on the outside and in through the adjacent eyelet on the left side, then back down on the inside to re-emerge through the third eyelet up the left side.

6. The left end is then continued diagonally up to the right, feeding under the side to emerge through the top right eyelet.

1. Start with two pairs of different color laces, preferably the wide, flat variety.

2. With one color, lace the shoe using Straight Lacing.

3. With the other color, start at the bottom of the shoe and weave the lace in and out of the other lace until you reach the top.

4. Fold around the top lace and head back down, weaving out and in until you reach the bottom.

5. Continue across the shoe until you're out of room or out of lace, whichever comes first.

6. Tuck all the loose ends of the laces into the shoe.

Lacing Skill

1. The lace is run straight across the bottom and emerges through both bottom eyelets.

2. The left end is spiralled up the left side of the shoe, with the end fed under and emerging from each eyelet.

3. The right lace is spiralled up the right side of the shoe, at each eyelet looping through the left lace in the middle of the shoe before feeding under and emerging from the next eyelet.
